WORLD GEOGRAPHY:
Daily Skill Builders

reproducibles...$12.00
This new unit is designed
to build skills day by day on what students have previously learned. These
skill builders were with the National Geography standards in mind. Each
reproducible page features two short world geography activities arranged by
skill level, becoming progressively more challenging within each topic area.
The activities can be cut apart and used separately in class as a warm-up, as a
review or as extra practice. And since standardized testing is so
important, select activities provide practice in test-taking formats.
Topics include map skills and a general world overview, location, world
capitals, physical geography, political geography, people and culture, natural
resources, wildlife, and climate. The activities are divided into sections
dealing with the continents.
JUMPSTARTERS FOR GEOGRAPHY

reproducibles...$7.00
Daily activities cover US maps, state capitals, landmarks,
nicknames, slogans, plants and animals, products, history and physical features.
Five to a page and reproducible, the exercises are perfect for warming up the
class early in the day or turning spare time at the end of the day into a
lesson.
GLOSSING OVER GEOGRAPHY
glossary...$12.00
This glossary contains hundreds of
geographical terms, ranging from the simple to the more difficult. Each term is
defined and then explained in a sentence that uses the word. Black pen and ink
drawings help to further explain that the height of mountains is measured in
elevation.
GEE, IT’S GEOGRAPHY
set of 5 reproducible
units ...$40.00
These materials cannot be
completed unless you provide the students with Glossing Over Geography.
It is in the glossary that the students will find the answers to all the
assignments in Gee It’s Geography. With each unit in Gee It’s
Geography your students will be looking up definitions in the glossary,
comparing geographical facts, making drawings using the glossary and even
figuring out time zones east and west of the Prime Meridian. Naturally this is
after they learn what the Prime Meridian is. Complete geography curriculum at a
4.0 reading level. Includes lots of tests and review.
A HOP, SKIP AND A JUMP AROUND THE CONTINENTS
reproducibles ...$20.00
All the people, places and things
found on each of the seven continents have been condensed onto fact sheets with
a fact given about each person, place or thing. Following the facts, the kids
must then use a reference book to locate more facts. Once the fact sheets are
completed there are tests to determine whether or not your students have learned
whether the Amazon River flows through Africa, South America or Asia. By
grouping the continents, hopefully the students will get it that Taj Mahal was
not a famous explorer of Africa and that the Himalayans are not a rock group.
Some simple map work is included.

MAPPING OUT MAPS
reproducibles ...$10.00
The assignments in Mapping Out
Maps begin with simple assignments that have to do with who went north,
south, east, and west, and what they passed on the way. As they are figuring out
these things, they are introduced to such terms as legend, scale of miles,
boundary lines, and all the other terms they don’t understand, but that are
used on maps. As they move along, they put sections of the United States
together and by the time they’re done, they’ve assembled a nation.

50 TO GO
reproducibles
...$50.00
And where are they going?
Through each state. We are almost willing to promise that your students
should come through this unit with a good idea as to the location of each state,
the significant terrain within each state, the important industries within the
sates, and the outstanding geographical features of each of the 50 states.
With this unit your students will have some simplified reading materials, map
activities, and tests that build upon the knowledge they've acquired from
preceding assignments. As much practice as they'll get putting in capitals,
drawing rivers, mountain ranges, and other types of terrain, we're willing to
say that one or two of them might actually be able to tell you exactly what it
would be like to cross the United States from one end to another. Michael
Rossi in New York said, "whoever wrote this knew what kids have to learn about
US geography, and how much repetition it takes to teach them. Thanks."
AROUND THE WORLD IN HOWEVER MANY DAYS IT
TAKES
reproducible
text, worksheets
and tests ...$27.00
Around the World...
is your basic world geography text that covers each of the seven continents in a
"global" way. In other words, the text doesn’t take South America
and give all its rivers, mountains, capitals, and locations of the coffee
growers. It does, however, lean more to an overview and points out such
interesting facts that Antarctica is climatically a desert and why Peruvian
mountain people are short. It also covers such difficult concepts as plate
tectonics and continental drift in an easy-to-read manner.
